Participating with Elluminate.....

TechTuesday sessions utilize an online meeting software called Elluminate to conduct live one hour webinars. After you register to attend TechTuesday you will recieve an email with a link. When the webinar is scheduled begin, simply click on the link -- your computer will do a few somersaults and backflips and then you will be connected to a virtual meeting room.

If you would like to make sure you will be able to connect to Elluminate from your school site, please go to this Elluminate Support page and click on the link titled "Participant Orientation (5 minutes)". If you have time to watch the orientation that would be great!

Once you are in the meeting room you will hear the presenter's voice and you may see him/her on video. We will take a few minutes to familiarize ourselves with the Elluminate workspace and then we will proceed with a demonstration of a Web 2.0 technology. Because we only have one hour, the session will focus more on "how do you do this" rather than "why would I want to". More information about why you would want to utilize a particular Web 2.0 applications in your classroom will be provided for each session.

Each monthly TechTuesday webinar will be recorded and posted. If you want to reference the video at a later date, it will be available to you. Feel free to share the information with any of your colleages.
